We're proud to announce that AeroWASP has been one of just 21 projects (out of 309) selected for funding in the second FFPlus Open Call for Business Experiments!
Over the next 15 months, together with CFD experts Bailardi Boutique Engineering, we will develop a unique Machine Learning surrogate model capable of capturing the complex aerodynamic interactions between the ship and wind propulsion devices. This model will be trained on thousands of high-fidelity HPC CFD simulations across the most relevant commercial vessel types for wind assistance, and will ultimately be integrated into our Pelican software.
What this means for our clients:
✅ More accurate performance predictions from the earliest feasibility stages, including complex SHIP - WAPS aerodynamic interaction effects
✅ Next-level Digital Twins for weather routing, operational optimization and performance monitoring
✅ Better decisions and faster payback through improved insight into real-world performance
