Certificate of Approval in Principle for Pelican wind propulsion software issued by RINA

Pelican Software

Pelican performance prediction software is the first tool of its kind to be recognized by a classification society (RINA). It is a highly flexible solution fully dedicated to wind propulsion, developed from extensive PhD research.

Optimal operations

Pelican supports decision-making, design and optimal operations

Pelican leverages an extensive database of wind propulsion systems based on actual makers-provided data of Flettner rotors, Wingsails, Suction Wings, and Kitesails — alongside a comprehensive dataset of various ship types such as bulkers, tankers, LNG carriers, RO-RO vessels, and more. These datasets are integrated into built-in aero/hydrodynamic force modules, allowing Pelican to quickly evaluate a wide range of wind propulsion systems and vessel types while maintaining high accuracy.

Pelican supports decision-making and design for wind-assisted propulsion. It can also be used to generate vessel-specific digital twins for weather routing, voyage optimization and monitoring applications.
